New Actual Play Posted and shameless donation request

May 12th, 2008

There’s a new Actual Play post over on the Actual Play page. We’re doing this quite a lot these days, aren’t we? I really love them.

This one is a free form roleplay session starring Cynthia as Tarafear the Bard, Hope Evey as a dancer runaway noble and Katarina who was playing a mercenary bodyguard and protector - an armed chaperon. The story turned into something of a risque French Farce sort of thing with genders changing, lots of comedy and doors opening and closing and a drunk Priest of the Sword Goddess and a prude and a boy/girl gender transformation mirror. This recording is rated R but it’s more risque than outright naughty. Running time is 2 hours and 42 minutes.

In addition to the Actual Play Recording, I am putting the final touches on an interview with Phil Brucato and another with Teeuwynn Woodruff.

And now I am shamelessly also Asking For Money. I think about this when the Libsyn bill comes due, or the website hosting comes due, and I mean to ask about it, but I haven’t yet. If you like the Bear’s Grove and want to show your support for it now and into the future, please don’t hesitate to contribute. This is a totally voluntary thing, but I would very much appreciate it.

The last time I got any money for the podcast, I bought a Logitech Headset so I could do Skype interviews. I only say this because I wanted you to know that I am putting the money back into the podcast.

I dream of having my fees paid by this podcast, but that may just remain a dream!

Anyone who does contribute will get a shout out on the podcast unless you say you’d rather not get one. Thanks!

I Got into a Stabbing Contest! (And I liked it)

April 12th, 2008

I got interviewed on the Stabbing Contest, cause I asked for it.

In it we talk about a lot of things, but among them are Mickey’s Tarot-based Casanova game. I’m looking forward to hearing more about this.

So check it out!

And stay tuned for more cheesy goodness on THIS podcast feed!

New Actual Play Recording!

Sam Chupp and Julia Bond Ellingboe

I recently recorded a talk Julia Bond Ellingboe did which included an Actual Play Demo of her game “Steal Away Jordan.” If you’d like to download it (it’s very long, but worth it!), the link is here.

Julia’s talk was part of the Digital Moving Image Salon at Spelman College, which you can find out more about here.
